Avinash Govind

Founder

Experienced journalist and policy advisor.

Served as Argus Media’s sole Australia-based coal and metal news reporter until March 2026, breaking stories about everything from strikes and floods to port disruptions and mine restarts.

Previously worked on Northland Regional Council’s two-person Economics team, producing Cabinet-cited biosecurity costings, supporting infrastructure investment decisions, and providing economic development advice to elected members.
